Daily Worship (Nityapooja)

Nityapooja is the daily worship performed at the feet of Lord Murugan. This includes Abhishekam (sacred bathing), Alankaram (decoration), Archana (recitation of divine names), Naivedyam (food offering), and Deeparadhana (lamp ceremony).

Special Poojas

Monthly Shashti Pooja

Celebrated on the sixth day after every new moon. Includes Velabhishek, special pooja, and prasadham distribution. Shashti is Lord Murugan's most sacred tithi.

Velabhishek

The sacred bathing ceremony of Lord Murugan's Vel (divine spear) with milk, honey, and sacred substances. A deeply powerful ritual that invokes divine protection.

Thiruvillakku Pooja

A special pooja introduced for aspiring ladies. Devotees light sacred lamps and offer prayers for family welfare, health, and prosperity.

Sankatahara Chaturthi

Monthly pooja dedicated to Lord Ganapati, performed on the fourth day of the waning moon. Devotees seek blessings for removal of obstacles.

Abhishekam Seva

Devotee-sponsored ritual bathing of the deity with milk, curd, honey, ghee, sandalwood paste, rose water, and Panchamritam. Symbolizes purification.

Archana

Personal prayer through temple priests who chant Ashtottara (108 names) or Sahasranama (1,000 names) of Lord Murugan.
